Do you recomend hair extensions?

Would you recomend hari extensions? I have thin shoulder length hair and I'm thinking about extensions. I know they can be very expensive, but I'm willing to pay the price. First, I've heard they damage hair, but do both types (glue and clips) damage your hair? And what if you get them braided? And what if it is real hair? What are the pros and cons?

One more thing, if I get real hair and if I get it braided, is it true that it will start growing?

I have worn extensions off and on for 10 years and love them They have NEVER damaged my hair. I have worn them for the

past 3 years straight. My own hair is now as long as them- about 16 inches. They do not look fake- I use the best quality Remy hair.

I actually switched to clip in tracks- I make them myself. I much prefer it to the glue, which can get snarled in your hair if not properly removed. Shrinkies are uncomfortable because of the metal link bond.

No one knows I wear extensions unless I tell them and they are shocked. I mostly wear them for styling convenience and fullness, not length, but used to wear them for length. It takes me about 10 minutes each morning to put them in. I love them because I can take them out to workout. My scalp does not itch from them. It is also so much easier to sleep with out extensions in.

My last set of fusion bonds I got was horrible and I looked like a witch. The hair was gross and synthetic. I removed them 6 hours after I got them. I have worn all kinds, Great Lengths, sewn in , shrinkies... you name it I have worn it.

You have to commit to taking car of extensions, but it is so worth it. I love mine.

Get the best hair you can afford. Most stuff is crap. Do not buy from Sally''s and the Jessica Simpson stuff you see is garbage. The hair I buy I can usually use for an entire year! no kidding.

heaps of my friends have hair extensions. lots of them have the glue ones, but i think it's made their hair thin and scraggley - ew. One girl however uses the clip in ones, they always look neat and real and you can easily take them out without the ripping of your own hair. also - discovered a clip in extension WIG the other day - looked AMAZING! and so real! you clip it round your head (its one big one remember) in the lid section, and away you go - makes your hair full and bouncey and gorgeous! not sure where to get them from but im sure you will find your way! good luck :)

i have had hair extentions for years i just took them out now i use PoP Clip on hair 100% human hair...very affordable and i love it ..try this site you want to get POP clip on its amazing you will never go out with out them

it depends on how short your hair is. But also extentions can lead to dry hair and it is very hard to brush out when they're in your hair.

I have extensions and they are very good, i suggest the glue on type, because the other kind really hurts. no they do not damage your hair at all! It is real hair but i think thats a good thing because it loks much more real. Yes they will start growing at the same legnth of your real hair because it is glued to your real hair so it comes down with it.

pros: pretty=], grows with your real hair, realistic

cons: price, be careful not to brush them out

I don't know a whole lot of people who have gotten hair extensions, but those who have tend to have hair that turns out awful and fake. Maybe they weren't getting good quality, but I think if you want long hair, you should just grow it out.

i recommend them to anyone who wants them, you should get your hair braided in tracks and them have them sewn in.

the cons are you better take care of your hair. if you don't it'll get ratty looking. i don't believe they make your hair grow i just think they look nice.

I've never had extensions, but from research I can tell you that the best thing you can do for your self is to feel beautiful. So, if you want them get them. Real hair, braid your hair and have it professionally sewn in. No Glue. No Glue. Did I say No Glue? No Glue. It allows the natural hair to rest from chemicals, excessive heat and damage from the environment. So yes, if you take care of your natural hair (washing and conditioning and re braiding) and the extensions need to be cared for as it is real hair (washed, conditioned and rolled or flat ironed) you will enjoy the new locks. Also I would suggest a below the shoulder layered look as opposed to braids. They are beautiful but can be limiting,.

It will start growing if you get them braided in real / fake hair just dont over comb it, over curl it or wash and blow them out everyday because thats what breaks your hair. Also, if your hair is dyed or chemically relaxed/permed then be sure to condition it well before putting the extensions in your hair.

Lastly dont keep them in too long, it will start breaking
