What would be the best Type/Thickness/Color of Hair to have great-looking Braids (any braided style)

anytype hair can have great-looking braids...the only thing is that if your hair is thin smaller parts/sections make your hair seem thicker, as opposed to bigger parts/sections which makes thin hair noticeable and if thin in sections makes it look like your balding

I think thick, heavy hair looks great in braids, better than thin hair. I've seen both blondes and brunettes with beautiful thick braids - usually a single braid. These are women with straight or semi-straight hair. For African American women I'm not an expert, but corn rows or any type of braid looks good, any color.
