Yes it's best to use the same color as your own hair. Now if your hair color is say jet black you could use a weave color for a 1B to a 2.

It Doesn't Have To Be...If You Could Find Any Color That Would Go With The Color Of Your Own Hair It Would Be Fine!!!...My Hair Is Jet Black And I Am Getting A Dark Red As The Color Of My Weave For Micro Braids!!!...I Had It Before I Was Highly Complemented!!! Report It

I mean it would look better if u use the same color as ur hair coloer..... If u wanna look a mess then use another color... that looks tacky use ur own hair color
